In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales departed on a regional visit to the Riverina.

Later in the morning, the Governor met with Councillors and staff of the Federation Council, at the Corowa Civic Centre.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency visited the Amaranth Foundation, a community based not-for-profit organisation, and the Corowa Food Bowl, which the foundation operates. Afterwards, the Governor met with students, staff and P&C members at the Lowesdale Primary School, Lowesdale.

Later in the afternoon, the Governor toured the Hicks family farm, in Lowesdale, and participated in the harvesting of the canola crop.

In the evening, Her Excellency attended the Corowa Business Chamber Dinner, at the Corowa Distilling Company.

In the morning, by deputation, The Honourable Andrew Bell, Lieutenant-Governor, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

In the morning, Government House Sydney hosted The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Recognition and Presentation Ceremony, where His Royal Highness The Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh KG GVCO, presented certificates to award recipients.

In the evening, Government House Sydney hosted The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Award Leader Recognition Ceremony, where His Royal Highness presented Long Service Medals to recipients.
