In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson visited Uki Public School, where they viewed student performances and discussed student experiences of the floods. 

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson toured the NSW SES Tweed Heads Unit, speaking with SES staff and volunteers, and met with the Tweed Shire Council to receive overviews of flood recovery efforts.
