In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson commenced a Regional Visit to the Northern Rivers. 

During the day, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson met with the Ballina Shire Council, the Lismore Shire Council, and staff from the Northern Rivers Reconstruction Corporation, to receive updates on flood recovery processes.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson met with staff and volunteers from the Koori Mail, where they inspected repair work and visited the volunteer centre.

Following this, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson visited St Carthage’s Cathedral, where they viewed flood damage and received an overview of flood impacts on other churches and diocesan schools in the Lismore region.
