In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Later in the morning, the Governor received Marc Pellegrini, Executive Director of the Centenary Institute. Afterwards, Her Excellency received Mr Sebastian Canales, the newly appointed Consul-General of Chile.

Subsequently, Her Excellency received Mr Neville Tomkins, Ex Chief Commissioner of Scouts NSW, and Mrs Tomkins, for a farewell call at Government House.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson attended a Reception for the 64^th Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, at the residence of the Consul-General of Japan, Bellevue Hill.
