In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson, commenced a regional visit to the Far South Coast of New South Wales, beginning with a visit to the Bega Community Service Centre to hear from local Youth Justice NSW representatives about programs and initiatives.

Following this, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended a morning tea with recipients of National Emergency Medals and met Bega Valley Shire Council Members and staff to hear about local achievements, at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre. They then toured the Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) and Sapphire Community Pantry, meeting members of Southern Women’s Group and WRC volunteers, staff, and supporters, in Bega.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson toured Tulgeen Disability Service’s Riverside Nursery and Art in the Garage to observe supported employment and art programs, as well as visiting the site of the future National Circularity Centre, to hear from Regional Circularity Co-operative and Bega Group representatives about the Bega Circular Valley initiative.

In the evening, the Vice Regal Couple attended a reception hosted by the Bega Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre.

In the morning, the Honourable Andrew Bell, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, as deputised by the Governor, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.
