Throughout the day, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson visited the flood affected community of Lismore.

In the morning, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited CASPA, a child welfare and care services provider.

Afterwards, the Vice Regal couple visited the Koori Mail Office Community Hub and met with the General Manager of the Koori Mail, and with the CEO of the Ngulingah Local Aboriginal Land Council.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency, as Patron, and Mr Wilson visited Heartfelt House, at the offices of Northern Rivers Women and Children’s Services. For further information visit: heartfelthouse.org.au

Subsequently, the Governor and Mr Wilson met with Councillor Steve Krieg, Mayor, and Mr John Walker, General Manager, of Lismore City Council, at the Council Chambers.

Later in the afternoon, the Vice Regal couple visited the Lismore Flood Recovery and Evacuation Centres, at Southern Cross University, and the Lifeline Community Distribution Centre, at Lismore Showground.

Due to the unavailability of Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, the Honourable Andrew Bell, Chief Justice, assumed administration of the Government of the State of New South Wales.

In the morning, the Honourable Andrew Bell, Chief Justice, as the Governor’s Deputy, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House, Sydney.
