Throughout the day, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson visited the flood affected communities of the Northern Rivers region.

In the morning, the Governor and Mr Wilson met residents and volunteers from Tumbulgum, at the Community Hall, and then toured the village.

Later in the morning, the Vice Regal couple met with residents and volunteers from Uki, at the Uki Community Hall, and visited flood damaged homes and businesses.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited Resilient Byron, a community-based flood response coordination centre, at the CWA Hall in Mullumbimby.

In the evening, the Vice Regal couple returned to Sydney and Her Excellency reassumed the administration of the Government of New South Wales.
