In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson attended the swearing-in of the Honourable Justice Andrew Bell as the 18^th Chief Justice of New South Wales, at the Banco Court, Sydney.

In the afternoon, the Governor hosted a visit by young leaders and teachers from Canowindra Public School, in the Central West region of New South Wales, at Government House.
