Throughout the day, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson continued their regional visit to the Riverina.

In the morning, the Governor and Mr Wilson met with Cr Tony Reneker, Mayor, Ms Jackie Kruger, General Manager, Councillors and members of the Senior Management Team, at the Leeton Shire Council.

Later in the morning, the Vice-Regal couple visited SunRice, and inspected the Leeton Mill and Packing Plant and the Microwave Rice Retort Facility.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson met with students, ex-graduates and staff of Tirkandi Inaburra, a culturally based residential care program which supports young Indigenous men, in Coleambally.

Later in the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited Southern Cotton, meeting with senior staff and Board Members, before inspecting the factory and cotton fields.
