In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, as Patron of the Australia Day Council of NSW, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, commenced her Australia Day program, delivering an address at the WugulOra Morning Ceremony, at the Headland, Barangaroo Reserve. Afterwards the Governor, as Patron of Wheelchair Sports NSW, accompanied by Mr Wilson, fired the starting gun at the Oz Day 10k Wheelchair Road Race, at The Rocks. For further information, visit: www.wsnsw.org.au

Later in the morning, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson, presided at the Salute to Australia Ceremony at Hickson Road Reserve, Dawes Point. Her Excellency received the Salute to Australia and delivered a 2022 Australia Day address, before conferring Australian citizenship on 25 new citizens.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Wilson embarked on HMAS Diamantina, for a lap of Sydney Harbour, as part of the Australia Day Regatta.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson visited the Yabun Festival at Victoria Park, Camperdown.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the Australia Day Reception and Live Concert, at the Sydney Opera House.
