In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson travelled to Melbourne to attend a Vice Regal Gathering at Government House, Melbourne.

As a consequence of Her Excellency departing the State, The Honourable Andrew Scott Bell, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, assumed Administration of the Government of the State of New South Wales.
