On Wednesday, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson, continued their regional visit in Dubbo.

In the morning, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, delivered an address at the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Breakfast, at Western Plains Zoo.

Afterwards, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson travelled to Macquarie Correctional Centre at Wellington, where they were escorted on a tour of the operations and programs of the Centre by Mr Peter Severin, Commissioner, Corrective Services NSW, and Mr Brad Peebles, Governor of the Centre, meeting with staff and inmates.

Later, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited St John Ambulance Regional Headquarters at Wellington where they engaged with staff and volunteers and viewed cadets undertaking CPR training.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson returned to Sydney.

In the evening, the Governor attended the National Rugby League State of Origin – Game III deciding match at ANZ Stadium.
