In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson travelled to Brisbane to attend the annual Vice Regal Gathering, at Government House Queensland.

As a consequence of the Governor departing the State, His Excellency the Honourable Andrew Bell, Lieutenant-Governor, assumed Administration of the Government of the State of New South Wales.

In the evening, the Lieutenant-Governor attended the Induction and Installation of the Reverend Christopher Waterhouse as the 17^th Rector of St James’ King Street, Sydney.
