In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson presided at the swearing-in of Mr Scott Barrett as a Member of the NSW Legislative Council, at Government House, Sydney.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson hosted a reception for the launch of the Voices of Women short film Entanglement, at Government House.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson attended the opening of the Alliance Française de Sydney French Film Festival, at Notre Dame University, Chippendale, and Palace Central Cinemas, Broadway.
