In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Throughout the day, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, conducted three investiture ceremonies at Government House for men and women of New South Wales whose awards were announced in the 2021 Australia Day Honours List. In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the University of Sydney Law School Julius Stone Address, at the University of Sydney, and afterwards attended an event dinner at Café Sydney.
