In the evening, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, opened the Australian Watercolour Institute Centenary Exhibition, at Lion Gate Lodge, Royal Botanic Gardens.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended a performance of All Rise by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Jazz at the Lincoln Centre, at the Sydney Opera House.
