In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, officially opened the Permanent Display of Victoria Cross Medal Groups, at the Army Museum of New South Wales, Victoria Barracks, Paddington.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the Honourable Giorgio Silli, Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Italy.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Dennis Wilson hosted the annual Consular Corps Reception, at Government House.
