In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson visited the Lower Hunter Fire Control Centre, in East Maitland.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended a luncheon hosted by the Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival.

Afterwards, they were escorted by Ms Susan Leith-Miller, Director, Ms Wendy Blake, Curator, and Mr Armando Percuoco OAM, Guide, from the Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival, on a tour of festival installations in Wollombi village, Stonehurst Cedar Creek and Undercliff Winery and Gallery.
