In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, met volunteers and visitors over breakfast at the Early Bird Café, at St Stephen’s Uniting Church, Sydney.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the Honourable Jonathan O'Dea MP, Speaker, accompanied by Ms Helen Minnican, Clerk, who presented the Address of Condolence delivered by the Premier of New South Wales in Parliament following the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip. Her Excellency will now forward the Address of Condolence to Her Majesty The Queen.

Later in the afternoon, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council and a Ministerial Swearing-In Ceremony, at Government House. The Honourable Mark Speakman SC MP, Attorney General, was sworn-in as Minister for Prevention of Domestic and Sexual Violence, The Honourable Natalie Ward MLC as Minister for Sport, Multiculturalism, Seniors and Veterans, and the Honourable Alister Henskens SC MP, as Minister for Families, Communities and Disability Services.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson, as joint Patrons, hosted Music@theHouse featuring performers from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. For further information visit: sydney.edu.au/music
