In the morning and afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, conducted investiture ceremonies at Government House for men and women of New South Wales whose awards were announced in the 2019 Australia Day Honours List.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the European Union Day Celebration, hosted by Dr Michael Pulch, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Australia, and The Honorary Consuls and Consuls-General of the Member States of the European Union, at NSW Parliament House.
