In the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson hosted Jazz@theHouse at Government House, featuring a jazz ensemble from the Royal Australian Air Force Band.

In the evening, representing Her Excellency the Governor, Colonel Michael Miller LVO RFD, Official Secretary to the Governor of New South Wales, attended the airport arrival of Her Excellency Yuriko Koike, Governor, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, Mascot.
