In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, as Patron of the Australia Day Council of NSW, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, delivered an address at the WugulOra Morning Ceremony, at Barangaroo. Later, Her Excellency, as Presiding Officer, accompanied by Mr Wilson, hosted a 2025 Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony, conferring citizenship on 20 new Australian citizens, at Government House.
Afterwards, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, as official guests, addressed a Refugee Australia Day celebration, hosted by the Australian Afghan Hassanian Youth Association, at Auburn Botanic Gardens.
In the afternoon, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson, presented awards at an Australia Day Awards Luncheon, hosted by Blacktown City Council, at Blacktown Civic Centre.
Subsequently, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited the Government Coordination Centre, at the Sydney Police Centre, Surry Hills.
