On Saturday morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, as Honorary Colonel, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, officially opened the Royal New South Wales Regiment Conference, at the Randwick Barracks Conference Centre.

Later in the morning, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, delivered an address at the HMAS Success Decommissioning Ceremony, at Garden Island, Potts Point.

Afterwards, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson attended the Luncheon celebrating the Enthronement of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church in Australia, at Doltone House, Sydney.

In the evening, the Governor, as Honorary Colonel, and Mr Wilson attended the Royal New South Wales Regiment Officer/SNCO Dinner, at the Randwick Barracks Mess, Randwick.
