In the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council at Government House.

Afterwards, Her Excellency presided at the swearing in of the Honourable David Elliott MP, Minister for Transport, and Minister for Veterans, as Minister for Western Sydney.
