In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson met with the multi-agency Incident Management Team and members of the Emergency Operations Centre, at the Northern Tablelands Fire Control Centre, in Glen Innes.

Later in the morning, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited the New South Wales Rural Fire Service Base Camp, in Glen Innes.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited the Lunatic Hotel, the Drake Village Resource Centre and the Drake Community Hall, in the bushfire affected community of Drake. These were important community hubs during the recent bushfires and continue to be places of support in the recovery phase.
