In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson toured the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, a place of historical and cultural significance to the people of Guangdong Province, in Guangzhou, China.

In the afternoon, the Governor conducted a media interview in Guangzhou, with local journalists, to promote the State of New South Wales as a destination for tourism, education and investment, to discuss the NSW-Guangdong Sister State relationship, and to preview the Joint Economic Meeting to be held in Sydney later this year.

In the evening, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson, met with Guangdong Government representatives, and afterwards delivered an address at a Welcome Reception, hosted by the NSW Government, in Guangzhou.
