In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson, as Joint Patrons officially launched the transmission of Radio 2RPH to Wollongong and the Illawarra, at Wollongong Art Gallery. 2RPH provides a radio reading service for people who cannot read independently. In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited the Reiby Juvenile Justice Centre in Airds. Her Excellency launched a book club for young women at the Centre.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the NSW Bar Association Bench and Bar Dinner, at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney.
