In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, visited the NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) at Carramar, where the Governor met with Mr Jorge Aroche, Chief Executive Officer; Mr Lachlan Murdoch, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Ms Jasmina Bajraktarevic-Hayward, Community Services Co-ordinator, before joining staff for refreshments and touring the service.

Afterwards, the Governor, as Honorary Air Commodore, attended a handover ceremony and luncheon to farewell Uncle Harry Allie BEM, outgoing Indigenous Elder, and welcome Aunty Deborah Booker, incoming Indigenous Elder of the Royal Australian Air Force, at RAAF Base, Glenbrook.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency visited the Nepean Men’s Shed at Orchard Hills to thank members and, in particular, Mr Farshid Mahmoudi, for his craftsmanship of the Presentation Box for the bottle of Joadja Gin, presented to Her Majesty The Queen as a gift from the people of New South Wales in celebration of her Platinum Jubilee.

In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, hosted a Dinner on the retirement of the Honourable TF Bathurst AC, Chief Justice and Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, at Government House.
