Anzac Day 2025

On Anzac Day morning, the Governor, as Administrator of the Commonwealth of Australia, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, placed the first wreath at the 2025 Anzac Day National Dawn Service, at the Australian War Memorial, in Canberra.
Meanwhile, in Sydney, the Lieutenant-Governor, His Excellency the Honourable Andrew Bell, accompanied by Ms Joanna Bird, attended the Anzac Day Dawn Service at The Cenotaph, Martin Place, where he read the Dedication and placed the first wreath, together with the Consul-General of New Zealand. Afterwards, Her Excellency, as Patron of the Returned and Services League of Australia NSW and Sydney Legacy, led the Anzac Day March in Sydney, after which Her Excellency joined Legacy families.
In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, delivered the Commemorative Address at the Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park and placed the first wreath. Afterwards, accompanied by Mr Wilson, Her Excellency delivered an address and placed the first wreath at the Coloured Diggers March and Service, at the Redfern War Memorial. Then, in the late afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, attended the Anzac Day Sunset Service, at The Cenotaph, Martin Place.
