In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson visited the Guangzhou Cultural Centre, as guests of the Guangdong Provincial Government.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the Joint Economic Meeting Official Luncheon hosted by Ms ZHANG Guozhi, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Committee and Vice-Governor of Guangdong Province, at the White Swan Hotel, Guangzhou.

Afterwards, Her Excellency delivered a keynote address, at the Plenary of the 30th Guangdong-NSW Joint Economic Meeting (JEM), at the White Swan Hotel.

Later in the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, participated in a Tree Planting Ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of the JEM, in the Australian Garden of the South China National Botanical Garden. The Governor and Mr HUANG Chuping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress, planted a grevilia robusta.

In the evening, Her Excellency the Governor was interviewed for a television program being produced by the China Global Television Network.

In the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Andrew Bell, Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Later in the morning, the Lieutenant-Governor attended the Sydney Grammar School Speech Day, at Sydney Town Hall.
