In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Following this, and then in the afternoon, the Governor conducted investiture ceremonies during which New South Wales residents recognised in the Australian Honours and Awards System were invested with their insignia, medals, and other decorations, at Government House.
