In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Later in the morning, the Governor, as Visitor, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, visited the University of Wollongong where she attended a Vice-Regal Luncheon, engaged in a Law Seminar, was conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) recognising her distinguished contribution to the law and public service, and attended the Chancellor’s Graduation Reception.
