In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Following this, and in the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, conducted investiture ceremonies at Government House, during which New South Wales residents recognised in the Australian Honours and Awards System were invested with their insignia, medals, and other decorations.
