In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, returned to the State and reassumed administration of the Government of New South Wales. 

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson hosted a luncheon for His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, and Ms Ruth Eirwen Jones, at Government House.
