In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Later in the morning, the Governor, received Mrs Greg Marie Concha Mariño, Consul-General of the Philippines, and Ms Marianne Bringas, Consul, at Government House.

Afterwards, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, conducted a Private Investiture Ceremony for Professor John Cannon AO, at Government House.
