In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson received an in-market briefing by His Excellency Mr Justin Hayhurst, Australian Ambassador to Japan, and Mr David Lawson, NSW Trade and Investment Commissioner, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

Later in the morning, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended a meeting with Cochlear Japan to discuss the expansion of this NSW business in the Japanese Market. 

Afterwards, the Vice Regal couple attended a luncheon as guests of Mr Michiaki Hirose, Chairman of the Japan Australia Business Cooperation Committee and the Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Later in the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited the Message Gallery at The Ministry of Justice Museum at Chiyoda-ku and then transferred to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government where they met with representatives of the TMG Board of Education.

Subsequently, the Vice Regal couple were received by Her Excellency Ms Yuriko Koike, Governor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended a dinner hosted by Ms Helen Stylianou, Deputy Ambassador to Japan, at the Ambassador’s Residence, which focussed on the tourism sector in NSW and Japan.
