In the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, chaired a meeting of the NSW Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee, at the UNSW, CBD Campus, Sydney.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson received Their Majesties King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u of the Kingdom of Tonga, for a Courtesy Call, prior to hosting a State Dinner in Honour of Their Majesties, at Government House.
