In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, received the Honourable Chris Minns MP, Premier of New South Wales, at Government House.

Following this, the Governor, as Patron of the Naval Association of Australia (NSW Section), delivered the Commemorative Address and laid the first wreath at the Battle of the Coral Sea Commemoration Service, at The Cenotaph, Martin Place, Sydney.
