In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson travelled to Dunedoo, where they attended morning tea with the Dunedoo and surrounds Country Women’s Association and United Hospital Auxiliaries Branches. The Governor and Mr Wilson are joint Patrons of the United Hospital Auxiliaries of NSW Inc. The Governor is Patron of the Country Women’s Association of NSW. Later in the morning, the Governor and Mr Wilson travelled to Gilgandra to visit the Jack Towney Hostel, an aged care facility providing quality care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents.
Afterwards, the Vice-Regal couple had lunch with Gilgandra Shire Council and local Elders at the Coo-ee Heritage Centre.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited GRASS Merinos, a pure breed merino ram stud near Gilgandra. This was followed by a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Gilgandra Medical Centre to meet with local RFDS representatives.
