In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at the Swearing-In of Ms Tina Higgins as Usher of the Black Rod of the Parliament of New South Wales, at Government House.

Following this, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson received Her Excellency Ms Beate Grzeski, Ambassador of Germany, accompanied by her husband Dr Markus Ederer, and Mr Felix Schwartz, Consul-General, at Government House.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency received The Right Honourable the Lord Spellar PC, United Kingdom Trade Envoy to Australia, accompanied by Ms Louise Cantillon, British Consul-General and Deputy Trade Commissioner Asia Pacific (Australia & New Zealand), at Government House. 

In the evening, the Governor attended a performance of Sydney Theatre Company’s Circle Mirror Transformation, at the Wharf 1 Theatre, Walsh Bay.
