In the evening, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, upon returning to the State, reassumed administration of the Government of New South Wales.  

Earlier, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Andrew Bell, Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.
