In the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Andrew Bell, Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, as Administrator of the Government of the State of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Afterwards, Her Excellency, as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, received  a Call by Admiral Alain Coldefy, President of the Societe des Membres de la Legion d'honneur, accompanied by Madame Anne Coldefy; Ambassador Corinne Breuzé, Head of Overseas Sections for the Societe des Membres de la Legion d'honneur and Mr David Kent OAM, President of the Australian Section for the Society of Members of the Legion of Honour, at Government House.

Subsequently, Her Excellency, as Patron of the Families of Veterans Guild, attended the ANZAC Field of Remembrance Service, at St Andrew’s Cathedral, Sydney, where the Governor and Mr Wilson laid the First Cross for the Unknown Warrior. For further information, visit: familiesofveterans.org.au

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson, as official guests, attended lunch celebrations for the 100th Birthday of the Honourable Sir Anthony Mason AC KBE KC, at Banco Court, Law Courts Building.

Later in the afternoon, Her Excellency participated in a joint Wreath Laying ceremony at the ANZAC Memorial, Sydney with Admiral Alain Coldefy, President of the Societe des Membres de la Legion d'honneur, accompanied by Madame Anne Coldefy.
