In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Later in the morning, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson received Mrs Zuzana Slováková, Consul-General of the Czech Republic, and Mr Jan Slovak, for a Courtesy Call at Government House.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended an Interfaith Ceremony of Remembrance, led by the Archbishop of Sydney, The Most Reverend Anthony Fisher OP. The ceremony was held in the forecourt of St Mary’s Cathedral and brought together faith leaders and members of the public to honour victims of the Bondi attack. Following a candle lighting ceremony, Rabbi Dr Benjamin Elton, Chief Minister of The Great Synagogue offered remarks and prayers.
