In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Afterwards, on the departure of the Governor from the State, the Honourable Andrew Bell, Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, assumed administration of the Government of New South Wales.
