In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, attended a morning tea and public conversation between the Chief Justice of New Zealand and the Chief Justice of Australia on 'The Future of Public Law', followed by a luncheon at Sydney Law School, Camperdown.

In the evening, the Governor laid the first floral tribute at the Australian Remembrance Foundation Lest We Forget Sunset Tribute, at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt, before attending the Anzac Eve Solemn Mass of Remembrance, at St Mary’s Cathedral, followed by a reception at Cathedral House.
