In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Following this, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson attended the State Funeral for Professor the Honourable Dame Marie Bashir AD CVO, at St James’ Church, King Street, Sydney.

Later, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson hosted a lunch for Rear Admiral the Honourable Peter Sinclair AC (Retd) and Mrs Shirley Sinclair, at Government House.

Subsequently, the Governor received Mr Crispin Conroy AM, State Director, and Ms Nicole Steinweg, External Relations Officer, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), at Government House.

Afterwards, Her Excellency received His Excellency Mr Xiao Qian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, accompanied by Mr Wang Yu, Consul-General, at Government House.
