In the morning, His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
Afterwards, His Excellency received Mr Zarak Khan, Consul-General of Fiji, accompanied by Mrs Barbara Ward, at Government House, Sydney.
Subsequently, the Governor and Mrs Linda Hurley received Mr Conrado Silveira, Consul-General of Uruguay, accompanied by Mrs Mignon Ubele.
Later in the morning, His Excellency received Mr Owen Feeney, Consul-General of Ireland.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs Hurley hosted a luncheon for the Rev Graham Long, Pastor Emeritus of Wayside Chapel, and Mrs Robyn Long.
In the evening, the Vice Regal couple hosted the annual Services Reception, acknowledging the men and women of Service organisations and their work for the community of New South Wales.
