In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, visited the Albury War Cemetery and laid a wreath at the Cross of Sacrifice.
Subsequently, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, delivered an Address and laid the first wreath at the Annual Murray Border National Servicemen’s Association of Australia (‘Nashos’) Memorial Service, in Nasho Gardens, Albury.
Later, the Vice Regal Couple, as Patrons, visited Albury Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, where they heard about service delivery innovations and highlights and listened to lived experience client stories. For further information, visit nsw.guidedogs.com.au.
In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson visited the Albury City Library Museum to learn about this innovative library, research, and collection hub and to view the exhibition Bungambrawatha: Stories of Albury.
Following this, the Vice Regal Couple met local St John Ambulance (NSW) Cadets and their families and viewed activity stations and Youth Program demonstrations at St John NSW Albury Branch, Albury. For further information, visit stjohnnsw.com.au.
