The Governor and Mr Wilson will usually arrive by car, and will do their best to be right on time. The host should greet the Governor and make the presentations.

Often it is appropriate to present other people connected with the event to the Vice-Regal party before the Governor moves to the stage, dais or table.  This can be done in some convenient space such as a hall or room near the point of arrival.

When walking from the point of arrival, or when entering a hall to be seated on a stage, dais or at a table, the Governor walks on the right of the host followed by Mr Wilson on the right of an associate host, with others in the party following behind.
